This is Ese Brume, a woman who has done what no other African Woman has done before at the Chula Vista Festival, CA
She saved the best for the last jump after jumping 6.83m four times. At her sixth attempt, Brume produced the leap of her life, going from third to first with a world- leading 7.17m!
She added five centimetres to the Nigerian record set by Chioma Ajunwa when winning gold at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
Other competitors, Brittney Reese came second with 7.10m jump and Chantel Malone finishing third with 7.07m jump
