NIGERIA’S BLESSING OKAGBARE BECOMES THE SECOND FASTEST WOMAN IN THE WORLD, TIES WITH JAMAICA’S SHELLY-ANN FRASER-PRYCE

Blessing Okagbare, 32, has once again proved herself to the world as she becomes the second fastest woman on earth after finishing 10.63 at the National Olympics trial in Lagos

She now ties with Jamaica’s Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, 34, who also clocked a stunning 10.63sec in Kingston, Jamaica. They both replace American Carmelita Jeter, who ran 10.64 in 2009

American, Florence Griffith-Joyner (Flo-Jo) still holds the record of 10.49 seconds set in 1988

The Olympics, which holds in Tokyo, Japan will begin as scheduled on July 23, 2021 followed by the Paralympic Games on August 24
